I'm Peter, writing a screenplay.

  Welcome.
Hi, I'm an '86 film school grad, work freelance in video/film/multi-media production and have always maintained my desire to create a well-designed, first feature film.

Perhaps we share similar interests and you might like to chat?

Joseph Campbell cracked the "DNA" code of a story
Read Joseph Campbell's ground-breaking book "The Hero's Journey" and watch his video tape series (with and without Bill Moyers), especially the introductory tape, "The Hero's Journey," which gives an overview of the man and his work. All these materials should be available at your local library.

If you write screenplays, make sure you have "The Writer's Journey" by Christopher Vogler, who has interpreted Joseph Campbell's work for screenwriters.

In a good story, psychology meets metaphysics
To understand this, you need to know that you create your reality and no one else. You create it by allowing others to make decisions for you, or you make your own decisions. This is the same for story characters.

During the past few years (and probably for the rest of my life) I have focused on understanding psychology where it meets metaphysics. This has greatly enhanced my ability to think and design a story.
